Oreo Mousse

10:00

Let’s do some cooking today. And you just have to admit it, who does not love a yummy, sweet dessert. I made this mousse using the delicious Oreo cookies. I am sure you all have heard about them and have tried them. I simply can’t keep my hand off of them. So, will you cook with me?

This is what you will be needing…

Ingredients: (4 servings)

    • 125 g mascarpone
    • 125 g cream
    • 2 leafs gelatine  (+/- 2gr)
    • 1 1⁄2 eggs
    • 40 g sugar
    • 1/2 package Oreo cookies (77gram)

Let’s get started…

Preparation
  • Fill a cup with cold water and put in the gelatine and leave it to soak.
  • Separate the eggs. Put the egg whites aside for later on.
  • Put the egg yolk in a bowl and mix it together with the sugar for a couple of minutes until you get a smooth pale mixture.
  • Fill the bottom of a saucepan with the cream and heat it. Squeeze the gelatine to remove most of the water and dissolve it in the warm cream.
  • Pour the cream and gelatine into the mixture of egg yolk and sugar.
  • Add in the mascarpone and mix it all together.
  • Put the egg whites in another bowl and beat until stiff. Fold the egg whites into the mascarpone mixture.
  • Break the cookies into small pieces, you can also use a knife to cut them in smaller pieces if you like.
  • Mix the cream in a bowl until you get a yoghurt like consistency
  • Fold the cream and the cookies into the mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into the serving bowls, cover with plastic film and leave the mousse in the fridge for at least 3 hours

Right before serving, you can decorate the mousse. I used Oreo biscuits on some and on others I used M&M’s. Enjoy!
